What THEY DO: Donates services to Our House Youth Home in Brookeville, MD.
“Of all the companies that have helped us in the past, nobody has come even remotely close to the Bartley Corporation,” writes the executive director of Our House Youth Home in Brookeville, Md. For the past 14 years, Bartley has helped ensure decent living conditions for at-risk teenage boys – providing services from building a commercial kitchen to providing generators during power outages. They’ve even sent a construction foreman to give students weekly training in carpentry skills.

I just wanted to send you a quick note before I wrapped up my day.
The patio is beautiful!
I can’t say enough good things about Jose’. It’s rare to come across someone that takes such pride in their work. He has a great attention to detail and was very attentive and courteous with me as well. I’m confident that this grade of concrete work was taken to the highest level of quality that could reasonably be achieved. I know because I’ve worked a fair amount of concrete in my time (mostly in my younger years) and have observed a considerable amount of other work as well.
I’m glad I chose Bartley and will recommend your company without hesitation. If you have potential customers that would like to see a great patio before they build their own, you are welcomed to show them mine.
I’m sure Bartley has become successful over the years due to its focus on providing a high quality product. I commend you for that and wish you continued success. I want to also thank you for taking the time to meet and talk with me personally regarding my patio design. | Outstanding Service to Youth - Thursday, March 15, 2007 The Bartley Corporation, of Ashton, Md, was selected as the recipient of the 2007 Outstanding Service to Youth Award in the Business category for its outstanding volunteer work. This annual award, sponsored by the Montgomery County Commission on Children and Youth and The Gazette Newspapers, recognizes those who have dedicated themselves to serving young people. The Bartley Corporation was nominated for the award by the "Our House Youth Home" located in Brookville, MD for whom Buck and Tom Bartley have made numerous donations of support, including building a new commercial kitchen, teaching carpentry skills to "Our House" residents and other much needed repair projects. The Bartley Corporation was also recognized "as one of the strongest supporters for the Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County." Habitat is currently building 12 new homes in Burtonsville and Bartley donated all the labor to install concrete footers, walls and slabs.
